Open research position for the DFG funded project Stratosphere

The DBIS research group has an open position in the area of query processing in DBMSs and Cloud computing.  The earliest starting date is October 1, 2010. To fill this position at DBIS we look for candidates with a Diploma or Master in Computer Science with focus on database systems, very good knowledge query processing in database systems, data structures and algorithms, and substantial knowledge of (distributed) systems; experience with Map&Reduce and HaDoop.
